Our family just returned from vacationing for the 2nd time at the Outer Banks .    Both times we rented Pat's Folly and love it.    Of course this year the new addition was added and is simply beautiful.  Master bedroom and bath are outstanding.   The decorating of the interior is beautiful, tasteful, and very cozy.   The owners of this home take great pride in it and it definitely shows.  We don't even consider looking at another house, this will be where we will continue to vacation in the coming summers. I just wanted to give a few comments on our stay ending today at Casa Antonio.

 The home was lovely. We come to the Outer Banks every year for Christmas, and often in the summertime; and this was by far our favorite property to date.

Also, and I cannot stress this enough, I was COMPLETELY and totally impressed with the Customer service at your office. We have had minor problems with other properties in the past, but no other Rental company has ever acted like they care. I cannot tell you how far that goes with me, in deciding what company we will rent from in the future. So thank you for going the extra mile. Everyone we dealt with was more than accommodating.

A few comments on the house. I'm sure it's in notes somewhere that we had issues of some sort. Unfortunately, we noticed the problem on Christmas Eve, and now realize we should have called sooner--but we didn't want to bother anyone on Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day. In hindsight, we should have called. Having said all that, when we called you all sent someone out immediately. We were so impressed, and felt silly for not having called sooner!

Some of our favorites: the kitchen was EXCELLENT! We were so thrilled with the pots/pans/utensils, etc. It was refreshing to have such a nicely stocked kitchen, fully functional for a massive Christmas meal! The theater room was a treat. The bedrooms were great. And we loved the game area downstairs!

Wow, it appears I've written a novel. We have intentions to re-rent Casa Antonio for next Christmas—and we feel confident that the problem we had will be taken care of.

Thank you so much for being so kind; for not making us feel like a pain for voicing our concerns. You've been a pleasure to deal with.

My family and I stayed in Ocean Pocean #536 at Thanksgiving.  They came in from Mississippi andVirginia.  We enjoyed that house immensely and have already reserved it for 2008.  The house was so well appointed and stocked.  (We are kitchen people and loved the well-stocked kitchen with nice pots – Cuisanart – and utensils!)  And your realty company was the best I’ve rented from in the 6 years we’ve been getting together at Thanksgiving.  From the initial reservations to the key pick-up to the maintenance fellow who came to replace a light fixture that fell down, everyone was efficient, courteous and helpful, traits that are not always common here on the Outer Banks.  Thanks for a lovely vacation and a great customer-service oriented company!    I’ve been singing your praises to anyone who wants to rent a home here.

I wanted to send an email to say thank you to Carolina Designs for the customer service provided to us during our vacation from April 1st through April 8th.  We had heating problems with our pool  and contacted your office.  Our children were anxiously waiting by the pool to swim and  I spoke with Samantha who was very helpful and nice.  She  reacted quickly and responded to our call promptly.  She worked hard to get the pool heating issue resolved and we wanted you to know how much we appreciated it. 

This was my first time in North Carolina in years and I would definitely come back to Carolina Designs not only because of the nice homes selection but more importantly due to the excellent customer service provided.

We received the check for the refund on the pool heat, thank you. We have to say that we have rented houses at Chincoteague,VA, Oak Island,NC and Myrtle Beach,SC, your company and property was by far the nicest to deal with and the finest property we have stayed at. Thank you for a great rental, we have told all our friends about you and your service. Had the gas not run out it would have been a perfect trip. Things happen and you did your best to correct the problem, thank you again!

Hi.  I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love your website.  The ease of use and the information available is just great.  I like how you pick a property and all information you need on that property is shown.  You don't have to do multiple searches etc.  The one feature I particularly like is the way you show what weeks are available and the rates for those weeks.  We've been coming to the Outer Banks for over 15 years and have used the same rental company for most of those years but when I found your website and started searching, I decided to change and use Carolina Designs because your website was so great to use.

“I recently spent a week in one of your properties in Schooner Ridge.  I just wanted to tell you what an excellent vacation we had.  The house was very nice and had more than enough room for the 4 adults and 5 kids.  Upon arrival, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the house.  I have stayed in houses that were filthy and we spent the better part of the first day cleaning.  The pool was a huge hit with the kids – it was perfect.  We did have to make one maintenance call and it was answered within 2 hours – excellent customer service.  Other than that, our vacation was excellent.  This was our fifth year vacationing in the Outer Banks and each time we used a different rental agency and had various problems.  We were very impressed by Carolina Designs and will definitely use you in the future.

My husband and I could not begin to explain what the Outer Banks and the people at Carolina Designs mean to us  With that in mind, let us just say we had our first vacation together in OBX, fell in love, were engaged, and yes, we even got married on the sun drenched beaches of OBX.  Our wedding was one week after Hurricane Isabel hit the Outer Banks, the staff at Carolina Designs not only reassured us via the telephone (as we live in Washington, DC), and they worked hard to ensure everything was perfect at our rental home on the ocean.  From cleaning the sand from the pool, to replacing the ocean stairs to ensuring all Isabel debris was removed from the beach so our oceanside ceremony was beautiful!

We can honestly say Mary O’Neill and the staff at Carolina Designs are no longer people we just conduct business with …… we now call them our FRIENDS!

I just wanted to say that we have rented homes in the outer banks from several realtors and most recently the past few years from Carolina Designs. My entire family, four grown children and their spouses, all agree that Carolina Designs homes have been the best. 

We absolutely love the OBX.  We drive 8 hours to get there and it is so worth it.  This summer will make our 4th year.  We have a wonderful time with the other families that join us on our "OBXcersion."  We  build memories for ourselves and our precious children to last a lifetime.  We all argree that it's the best sleep we get each year.  Being from South Carolina and having Myrtle Beach 4 hours away..........we all have decided that there in NO place like OBX. Myrtle Beach doesn't exist anymore.  All of this said....Carolina Designs has always made our vacations absolutely wonderful.  I do not have to worry about anything. They have the most wonderful staff available. We rented through another company our first year......the second year, we started with Carolina Designs.  Wow....what a difference! They gave us a different feel.  The are so personable.  I didn't know that rental companies could be so wonderful and NICE!  We will continue to rent through Carolina Designs and will always refer others.
